Provenance · 01

The three-point provenance strip, identical on every car.

Every dossier we send carries the same three data points, in the same order, formatted the same way. You read one strip and you can compare it against any other car on your short list without translating between formats.

  1. 01

    Owners

Registered keepers, the period each held the car, and the market the registration came from.

  2. 02

    Service records

Documented service events with mileage and date, so gaps in the history are visible rather than smoothed over.

  3. 03

    Inspection and import status

Pre-purchase inspection outcome plus the customs and registration position for Ukraine.

Why the order never changes: a fixed sequence lets you scan a shortlist in one pass, and it keeps every dossier directly comparable. If a point cannot be confirmed, the strip says so instead of leaving the field blank.

Verification

How a provenance strip is compiled

Three data points appear on every dossier, always in the same order: owners, service records, inspection and import status. Each one is checked against paper before it is written down.

  1. 01

    Owner count and tenure

Registration entries are read against the chassis number, then matched to the delivery date and the market of first sale. Periods where a car sat unregistered are recorded as gaps, not smoothed over.

  2. 02

    Service records

Maintenance entries are confirmed with the workshop or the importer where records exist. Mileage readings from each visit are lined up side by side so an inconsistent interval is visible rather than hidden in a summary.

  3. 03

    Inspection and import status

Customs clearance, duty position and pre-purchase inspection findings are taken from the documents in hand, never from a seller's description. Import status is stated with the date it was last confirmed.

  4. 04

    Written into the dossier

The three points are written in fixed order. Any point that cannot be confirmed is marked unconfirmed before the shortlist reaches you, so you always know what has been checked.

Data points

The data points we capture, and how each one is confirmed

Every candidate in a shortlist carries the same three-point provenance strip. The table below lists the fields behind that strip, what we record for each, and the source that confirms it. The verification steps describe the order in which these checks run.

Captured fields and their confirmation source
Data point What we capture How it is confirmed
Mileage Odometer reading at intake, in kilometres Odometer photograph, service entries, and the manufacturer digital service record where one exists
Owners Number of registered owners and the date of each transfer Registration certificate entries checked against service invoices and the import declaration
Service history Service dates, mileage at service, and the workshop that stamped each entry Stamped service book, workshop invoices, and the franchised dealer service database
Inspection and import status Customs clearance date, duty paid, and the most recent independent inspection Customs declaration, duty receipts, and the report issued by the chosen inspection station
Equipment packages Factory options by code, including audio, carbon, and driver assist packages VIN build sheet plus physical verification of each listed option at intake
Accident and paint history Recorded structural repairs and paint depth readings by body panel Paint gauge readings taken at intake and body shop records where these are disclosed

Availability, specification, equipment and pricing are subject to change and confirmation at the time of sourcing. A confirmed data point is only ever the one we can show a document for.

An independent concierge service, not a dealership.

aethorynia.com is an independent concierge service, not affiliated with any vehicle manufacturer or authorized dealer. We are paid by the client who commissions a brief. No brand pays for placement inside a shortlist, and no dealer sets the order in which candidates appear.

What we do

  • Read your performance preferences, equipment packages and ownership-history requirements before anything is sourced.
  • Return a small candidate set drawn from available local inventory, each with owners, service records, inspection and import status.
  • Show the provenance strip in the same order on every car, so two dossiers can be compared line by line.
  • Put every figure in writing and log each step of the verification.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell cars, hold stock, or take a position in any vehicle we recommend.
  • We do not accept payment from manufacturers or authorized dealers for inclusion.
  • We do not present an unlimited catalogue; a brief returns a short list, not a feed.
  • We do not move a car forward with an unverified owner count or an unconfirmed service record.
